Bruce White is one of the founding partners of Mitchell Lang & Smith LLP, with over 25 years experience in civil litigation. After graduating from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College, he served as Presiding Court Clerk for Multnomah County and joined the insurance defense firm of Hershiser, Mitchell Olson, Gheen & Lehner in 1978, before becoming a founding partner at Mitchell Lang & Smith in 1981. Mr. White's practice includes both Oregon and Washington. He has tried over 100 jury trials in almost every county in Oregon and has extensive trial experience in Washington State. Mr. White has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in many practice areas, including personal injury, professional malpractice, products liability and commercial litigation. He has been recognized in the Oregon Super Lawyers publication as one of Oregon's top lawyers since 2006. Bruce White was recognized as a 2011 Super Lawyer in Civil Litigation Defense.
Mr. White has served as a guest speaker and panelist for state and local continuing legal education programs and insurance claims organizations. Program topics include neuropsychological evaluations and working with medical experts, recent developments in PIP and UIM coverage under both Oregon and Washington law, interview and deposition techniques for trial witnesses, and effective cross-examination of medical experts.
