Charles T. "Chuck" Smith, a senior and founding partner of Mitchell Lang & Smith, has been representing clients throughout the States of Oregon and Washington for 43 years, practicing exclusively in civil litigation. He graduated from Oregon State University in 1958 with a B.S. in Science, served in the U.S. Army and completed a J.D. at Northwestern School of Law, Lewis & Clark College, in 1965 and was admitted to the Bar that year. He was admitted to the U.S. District Court in 1966, and U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court in 1971. Mr. Smith is a member of the Panel of Arbitrators, American Arbitrators Association, Multnomah County and American Bar Associations, the Oregon State Bar Committee on Client Security Fund, 1974-1978 and Northwestern School of Law Alumni Board of Directors 1980-1983. He has served as a Circuit Court Judge, Pro Tempore, Multnomah County in 1981, 1987-1991 and
2000-2003.
