Bruce White is one of the founding partners of Mitchell, Lang & Smith, with over 25 years experience in civil litigation. After graduating from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College, he served as Presiding Court Clerk for Multnomah County and joined the insurance defense firm of Hershiser, Mitchell in 1978, before becoming a founding partner at Mitchell, Lang & Smith in 1981. He has been managing partner of the firm since March, 2002. Mr. White's practice includes both Oregon and Washington, and he has tried over 100 jury trials to verdict with trial experience in almost every county in Oregon, and extensive trial experience in Washington State. Mr. White has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in many practice areas, including person injury, professional malpractice, products liability and commercial litigation. He was recognized in the Oregon Super Lawyer publication as one of Oregon's top lawyers in 2006. Classes/Seminars Taught Mr. White has served as a guest speaker and panelist for state and local continuing legal education programs, and insurance claims organizations. The program topics include neuropsychological evaluations and working with the medical experts, recent developments in PIP and UIM coverage under both Oregon and Washington law; interview and deposition techniques for trial witnesses, and effective cross examination of medical experts.
